Babel by R. F. Kuang, hand-bound in genuine leather by LeatheredLines. R. F. Kuang's 2022 novel, winner of the Nebula Award, is set in an alternative Oxford of the 1830s. Robin Swift, an orphan brought from Canton, trains at the Royal Institute of Translation, known as Babel, where silver bars enchanted with words power the British Empire. As he sees the cost of that power, he must choose between Babel and revolution.
About this leather-bound edition
Our binders work each cover by hand: genuine leather is fitted over firm boards, the spine is lettered in gold-tone foil and finished with traditional decorative detail. Every copy carries the small natural variations that come with real leather and handcraft.
The thickness and weight of the finished book depend on the length of this particular title. Longer works make a noticeably thicker volume, while shorter works are slimmer.
