The Imaginary Invalid by Molière, hand-bound in genuine leather by LeatheredLines. Molière's last comedy, first staged in 1673, mocks the doctors of his day and the hypochondriacs who feed them. Argan is so convinced he is ill that he plans to marry his daughter Angélique to a doctor, until his quick-witted maid Toinette takes matters in hand. Molière himself played Argan, and collapsed on stage during the fourth performance, dying hours later.
About this leather-bound edition
Each copy is bound by hand in genuine leather over sturdy boards, with decorative tooling and gold-tone foil lettering on the spine. Natural variation in grain, shade and foil impression is part of the character of every handmade book, so no two copies are exactly alike.
The thickness and weight of the finished book depend on the length of this particular title. Longer works make a noticeably thicker volume, while shorter works are slimmer.
