Woyzeck by Georg Buchner, hand-bound in genuine leather by LeatheredLines. Georg Büchner left Woyzeck unfinished when he died in 1837, and the fragments were not published until decades later. The play follows Franz Woyzeck, a poor soldier worn down by poverty, humiliation and a doctor's experiments, who is driven by jealousy to murder his lover Marie. Often called the first modern drama, it later inspired Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck.
About this leather-bound edition
Each copy is bound by hand in genuine leather over sturdy boards, with decorative tooling and gold-tone foil lettering on the spine. Natural variation in grain, shade and foil impression is part of the character of every handmade book, so no two copies are exactly alike.
The thickness and weight of the finished book depend on the length of this particular title. Longer works make a noticeably thicker volume, while shorter works are slimmer.
