Yellowface by R. F. Kuang, hand-bound in genuine leather by LeatheredLines. R. F. Kuang's 2023 satirical thriller follows June Hayward, a struggling writer who witnesses the death of her successful friend Athena Liu and steals the manuscript of her unfinished novel. Publishing it under a new name, June achieves the fame she always wanted, until the truth threatens to come out. A sharp, darkly funny satire on publishing and race.
About this leather-bound edition
Our binders work each cover by hand: genuine leather is fitted over firm boards, the spine is lettered in gold-tone foil and finished with traditional decorative detail. Every copy carries the small natural variations that come with real leather and handcraft.
The thickness and weight of the finished book depend on the length of this particular title. Longer works make a noticeably thicker volume, while shorter works are slimmer.
